KÜVETTEKİ GELİNLER (2024)
Küvetteki Gelinler is a cinematic promotional film created for a theatre production by the conservatory students at Bahçeşehir University.
Rather than approaching the piece as a conventional theatre trailer, I translated the atmosphere of the performance into a visual language of my own. Working with blue light, intimate framing, and a restrained rhythm, the film creates a dreamlike space between theatrical performance and cinema.
The camera moves through fragments of bodies, gestures, and expressions, focusing less on revealing the narrative and more on creating a sense of atmosphere and anticipation. Blue becomes a visual thread throughout the film, shaping the emotional tone and transforming the performers into figures within an almost suspended, nocturnal world.
The piece reflects my early interest in translating performance into cinematic language, using image, colour, rhythm, and atmosphere as narrative tools.
