HUMAINE, PRESQUE (2025)
Humaine, Presque is a French-language experimental short film exploring self-alienation and the gradual loss of connection with oneself.
The film follows a figure who becomes increasingly trapped within their own reflection. As their dependencies intensify, the reflection begins to take on a life of its own, blurring the boundary between the person and the image they perceive.
Rather than functioning as a simple mirror, the reflection becomes a space of confrontation; a distorted version of the self that the character cannot escape. The film explores the tension between wanting to understand oneself and becoming consumed by one’s own image, suggesting that the things we depend on can ultimately become the very structures that imprison us.
Humaine, Presque reflects on identity, dependency, and the unsettling distance that can emerge between who we are and the person we see looking back at us.
